In today’s (11th November 2020)webinar we discussed about culturing of earthworms and how it is kept in tissue paper How is earthworms getting energy connecting from how do we get energy from food for example take rice that is starch which is the form of carbohydrates which is broken down By asked stomach into glucose this glucose molecules are released into the bloodstream through which glucose is transported to each and every cells of our body in the cytoplasm there is glycolysis through which we get 2 ATP Molecules which is a form of energy rest of the energy is derived from mitochondria the powerhouse of the cell through Kreb cycle (2ATP) and electron transport chain (34 ATP) . Can we store food? What happens during fasting? Can earthworms store food? So if you don’t provide food to earthworms will it immediately die?

If we cut earthworm into two equal halves why should only one part regenerate? What is Blastema? Is there a role of clitellum in regeneration? What is signalling the head part to regenerate? Is it similar to chromosomal remodelling in Moina?
IMG-20201111-WA0072
If we take a cross section of the head region in the tail region of the amputated earthworm what is the similarity or difference found in the head and tail region that is making the head part regenerate and tail part die? Connecting with the tail part doesn’t die immediately it takes around 25 days Will the microbes not infect the tail region?

Connecting that to human immune system what happens when a foreign particle say Coronavirus Gets inside our body? How is the immune response get generated? When we talk about vaccines how does vaccine Help us fight against Viral infection?
