Cardamine: one of the Cube Plant model system which enables us to understand Genes, DNA, Protein, Molecular biology, GENETIC ENGINEERING and many more…

Cardamine plants are widely found by Many cubists in Plant Nurseries…
ASWATHY from Thrissur Kerala found Cardamine plants growing in plant pots in plant Nursery…

ARUNIMA from Kozhikode Kerala found Cardamine plants from plant Nursery.

Rayis from Thrissur Kerala found Cardamine plant from Plant Nursery

NIDHI from Goa also found Cardamine from one of the Plant Nursery.

Kiran from Moradabad also found Cardamine from Plant Nursery.

Is Cardamine plant is an invasive species?.. what is the origin of Cardamine plant?..

The research question that cubists are addressing in Cardamine model system is the can gene be transfer in Cardamine plants by just dipping plants with floral buds in the suspension containing Gene of interest by eliminating plant tissue culture technique.

What’s the connection in between the Cardamine and Genetic engineering?..

How Bt-cotton (the well known and accepted genetically modified crop)was made?..

A gene called Cry gene was isolate from a Bacteria and incorporated in the genome of Cotton plant…
But there were many questions being asked by the Cubists.

How do we identify the cry gene or any other gene that we want to transfer in cotton or anu crop?..

Where does this gene be transferred in Cotton plant?.

Cry gene should be incorporated in a cell in such a that each and every cell of developing plant should carry the gene, so what would be the Target of incorporating foreign gene?..

In continuation of the discussion on Genes and DNA.
We had discussed that How to extract DNA from Banana and Cheeck cells of Humans at Home?

Above diagram shows that the Method to extract DNA from Banana using Banana Pulp, Detergent and Senitizer

Lower one shows that the method to Extract DNA from Human Cheeck cells or Saliva using salt water, liquid Dishwasher and Perfume spray…

But how do ensure that the molecule that has precipitated is the DNA Molecule?.

Looking for more questions to follow up the discussion…
