Terrace Garden; a rare site in the cities!

Hello everyone!
Below are the photographs of the Terrace Garden which is in my native place Solapur, MH. I am surprised to see such a variety of Flora here, as this is a rare sight for a person who lives in a city like Mumbai (Nerul, Navi Mumbai) so I thought I will share some photographs!

Check them out!

Earlier, this plant was thought to be as ajwain but @PChitralekha corrected that “the leaves have a smell like that of ajwain (coriander family) but the plant belongs to Lamiaceae, tulsi family Plectranthus amboinicus.

All this time I had been believing that these are Ajwain plants and that the Ajwain seeds come in a pod on such plants.

Natives tell that the above Neem tree is more than 40years old. 40years can be easily recognised as that is when my family members started to reside here.

A thing which caught my attention here is that nearly six of these plants are flowering plants but none of them had a flower except a bud on the Jasmine Molle and Tuberose plants whose flowers are seen now.

Why aren’t other plants like Rose, Marigold, Jasmine and Hibiscus flowering?
