Cubists participation in Conferences

Arunan Sir ,Abhijeet (KJ Somaiya college, Mumbai)and Rahul(Ashoka University, Haryana)participated as a resource persons in the MS DEED programme held at IISER Pune from 25/11/2023 to 27/11/2023. @Arunan @Abhi0703

They @Abhi0703 @Rahul presented their journey in CUBE and introduced CUBE model systems to teachers who participated in the workshop.

2)Cubists presented and published a paper at Science Utsav: NMSF conference, Mumbai.

Saida presented at the conference, and Sakshi, Aditya, Akansha, Smiti, Shraddha, and Dhanraj & others were participated.

3)CUBE: Indo-japanes MEET

The Asian Association for Biology Education (AABE) is a not-for-profit educational organization dedicated to the advancement of biology education and the dissemination of information relating to biology education. AABE’s principal office address is: Philippine Science High School System, Agham Road, Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines 1104. The first AABE conference was organized in 1966 at Manila, Philippines and thereafter, its conference has been held biennially.

CUBE orientation programme held at SN College Chempazhanthy on 3/09/2024.Arunan sir invited as a resource person for Introducing CUBE to college students.












The programme was initiated by Dr.Liji and Arunan sir made a session to introduce CUBE to them .

CUBE Orientation Programme

1)Along With Dr. Binumol, I introduced CUBE to SN College Alathur on 22/10/2022 in an online program .Twelve students participated.

2)Dhanraj Thribuvan from CUBE Elphinstone College conducted a workshop at NES Ratnam College on 8/07/2022. Moina and Chlorohydra were introduced and handed over to NES Ratnam College.

3)The Botany department of NES Ratnam College introduced CUBE to students from other departments on 22/9/2022. The Zoology and Chemistry departments participated.

4)Cubists from CUBE Elphinstone College conducted an introduction to CUBE. Models such as Fruitfly, Moina, and others were introduced by Smiti and Saida.

5)MC Arunan, Mrs. Jaikishan Advani, and other Cubists introduced CUBE at IWSA on 9/03/2023.

6)Rahul Sunita Kushwaha conducted an inaugural meet at the CUBE Centre, DSMS New Delhi, and held a CUBE orientation session at that school in August.

7)An Indo-Japanese meet organised by Dr. Arunan MC and CUBE at NES Ratnam College on 5/03/2024 introduced CUBE model systems to Cubists from different parts of Mumbai.

8)At Chaitanya College, a CUBE orientation programme in the classroom was introduced by teacher Bhagwati, discussing her research on snails,27/10,2023.

9)Students from St. Peter’s College, Kolenchery, Kerala, started a CUBE workshop and homelab experiments under the mentorship of Dr. Arun A.U. on 19th August 2022. They discussed model systems including Earthworms, Planaria, spiders, Moina, and Hydra. The team consists of four members: Ameera Khathoon E.S., Aiswarya Jayan, Meekha Reji, and Arsha Rajendran.

CUBE outreach programme

ISEB Presentation ISEB stands for the Indian Society of Evolutionary Biologists. The conference was held in Ahmedabad from February 9 to 11,2023. Along with Dr. Arunan M. C., Shraddha Sonavane, Theertha M. D., and Lakshmy P. J. participated in the conference, where we represented three posters from CUBE. Among them, the poster presented by Shraddha Sonavane was awarded the Best Paper Presentation Award.

IISER Workshop In 2022, Dr. Arunan M. C. and Abhijeet Singh were invited as chief guests at IISER Pune for a teachers’ conference. In 2023, Dr. Arunan M. C., Abhijeet Singh, and Rahul Kumar were invited to conduct a three-day workshop, where they interacted with teachers from Maharashtra and introduced CUBE to them.

Science utsav in association with bombai association of science education:CUBE presented and published a paper at a conference where Saida represented CUBE. Dr. Arunan M. C., Adithya Joshi, Smiti Gupta, Shraddha Sonavane, Dhanraj Tribhuvan, and Sakshi participated in the presentation,30/01/2024.

From Sapekhati School Susanta Tanti, a teacher at Sapekhati Higher Secondary School, conducted a program at Bamopther Bengenabari Higher secondary School to introduce CUBE to nearby schools in Assam. Twelve schools with 24 students participated in the event,19/07/2024.

Somaiya College National Meet The CUBE National Meet 2023 was held at K. J. Somaiya College from July 20 to 23, 2023. Cubists from different parts of the country participated both offline and online. A total of 17 model systems were presented at the national meet, and awards were announced based on participation and engagement in CUBE.
