Haemoglobin studies in Water Flea

According to the environmental oxygen level water flea or daphnia can regulate the level of haemoglobin

The transparent water flea can be changed to red water flea by reducing the oxygen so the hemoglobin will increase and the water flea will turn into red !

We learned that when the oxygen level is reduced flea turns red due to hemoglobin

I have a question that when we turn the red water flea into water flea again are there any changes being caused?

The water flea changes red after a period of some hours or days

The water flea changes to red when the oxygen level is decreased by increasing the concentration of bacteria which consumes the oxygen
The haemoglobin increases changing it to red.

When oxygen levels are reduced, the organism starts producing excessive hemoglobin. Hemoglobin has a red colour. So we can get a red water flea by reducing oxygen levels. We can increase no. of bacteria which will reduce oxygen by consuming it.

No there will be no changes

When the oxygen level is reduced the organism starts producing haemoglobin which turns the flea into red. The level of oxygen can be reduced by adding milk and the bacteria present in it will absorb the oxygen which will result in the turning of flea into red colour.

Water flea can bu turned red if we reduce the amount of oxygen present in the water by adding more milk so that more bacteria can be produced which results in reduction of oxygen and hence turn red as haemoglobin which has hivh affinity to oxygen increases.
For production of haemoglobin extra genes are switched on through the messages from the nucleus of the cell which contains mRNA.
For converting the red flea back to its original white colour, we can collect the red flea into another bottle of de-chlorinated water with 2-3 drops of milk. It will hence be supplied with enough oxygen and turn back to its original colour

Water flea is also used as an environmental indicator. It turns red indicatimg oxygen is low in its surrounding and white indicating there is enough oxygen. Its is thus a bio indicator.
Faulty genetic regulation also results in cancer
