SUMMARY
Yesterday’s discussion was started by Swathi , where we discussed about how to identify cardamine and phyllanthus, we talked about flower, leaves and life cycle of the plants and discussed about heteroblasty
Then we discussed about Krishna’s work on butterfly where we discussed about how to identify blue tiger butterfly and how butterfly gets alkaloids from the plant and also discussed about the striking observation of hers where she saw huge number of butterflies on same plant and concluded it to be the pheromones were the reason to attract butterflies
other questions about butterfly model were:-
How larvae survives the toxin ingested from the plant on which it feeds on , where Batul mam shared a reference which stated that a protein is responsible for removing the toxin affected cells and renewing them with new cells when toxin is ingested
Does blue tiger butterfly has a mimic ? What is mimicry ?
Does butterfly( blue tiger / common Mormon) differ with the geographical area. Here we discussed about different common Mormon where different species of female butterfly mimics male, and 2other poisonous butterflies and are present in different parts of world
