SUMMARY
In yesterday’s chatshaala we were discussing about how to solve the issue of smiti’s BPCV, BPSRV media from turning liquidy . We compared her earlier media BPCV with that of her new media BPSRV and discussed various questions :-
How can BPCV media turn liquidy ? Was it the potato, banana, custard apple which made it liquidy ?
what is the need of media and what all nutritional components are needed for culturing fruitflies ? Moving on to discuss carbohydrates linking it to our curriculum where we study this in biochemistry
comparison between BPCV , BPSRV media. Why rava, sugar is used in BPSRV media. Is rava( BPSRV) a replacement for custard apple ( BPCV). Why vinegar is used in both media ? How do we make both media ? Is BPSRV still turning liquidy even after adding rava ? Why one BPSRV bottle was created , why not more bottles were created ? What is the importance of replicates ?
