We started the discussion with Seasonomics and Mango flowering and Fruiting pattern across India
:star: Neha from Sawantwadi, Sindhudurg shared her observations that 25% of Mango trees in Sawantwadi are sprouting.
:star: She shared her hypothesis that she will be expecting flowering to start from December and January

:star: Then we discussed about how these pattern of sprouting, flowering and Fruiting changed from lower latitudes (southern region) to higher latitudes(northern region).
:star: We shared our common observations on when we see ripe mangoes in our locality so that it can help to hypothesize when flowering and sprouting could have occurred.

:star: We came on to a question that is sprouting important in order to flower and fruit further?

    Stems are different from shoots, which are growing structures that evoke from buds of stems. Vegetative shoots bear only leaves, whereas generative shoots produce inflorescences and mixed shoots produce both leaves and inflorescences within the same nodes.

    :star: This image was there in that article and through this we tried to understand the mechanism behind the Flowering and Fruiting that follows sprouting

    :star: Then we discussed about moina homelab cultures and Standardizing the design so that it can be followed by anyone who wants to Culture moina.
  1. Take 500ml plastic waterbottle.
  2. Add 250ml of DC water.
  3. Add approx 50 moina
  4. Feed with 1 drop of milk on Alternate days.
  5. Maintain a log book and note down the observations!

    Transferred the moina in fresh water​:heart_eyes_cat: today I transferred my moina to freshly prepared DC water(tap water keep open for 24 hours). :sparkles: Now I have 3 bottle cultures with 250ml DC water approximately 20 moina in each bottle and a mini tank culture with ~80 moina in it with ~750ml DC water :sparkles:. I will be feeding the bottle culture with 1 drop of milk on Alternate days and mini tank culture with 3 drops of milk on Alternate days! CUBE Homelab Ulwe Navi-Mumbai, 1st November 2021!
