We started the discussion about Research methodologyโฆ
We want to check the olfactory assay of snailsโฆ
An experiment done by the cubist, they use simple stuffes but its results a great oneโฆ
Take a white sheet paper draw a circle on it,
Then one part of circle put it Cucumber (A)
Other one (B)contains water. On the centre we placed the snail,
Cubists have some hypothesisโฆ
The snail moves 8/10 times on the cucumber sideโฆ
Rest of 2 times it moves towards waterโฆ
Time limit is 3 minutesโฆ
We repeat the experiment in 5 timesโฆ
There was an another queryโฆ
If we put water on both sidesโฆ What happens the snails.??
* Misbah hypothesis that it moves one side continuouslyโฆ
As well as what happens, if we put cucumber on both sides of circle???
Cubist repliedโฆ The snail moves randomlyโฆ
When we put cucumber on one side and water on side , if the snail moves water side, what can be conclude??
How can be clearly confirm our olfactometer is working or not??
As well as we discussed about mosquitoe , earthwormsโฆ
Which types of diseases mosquitoes spread ???
How did the earthworms taste ?? How did they know sense of chemicals that present in soil ???
Is there any organs are present it???
How do earth worm regenerate??
Some references that taken from the chat boxโฆ
Culex is a genus of mosquitoes, several species of which serve as vectors of one or more important diseases of birds, humans, and other animals. The diseases they vector include arbovirus infections such as West Nile virus, Japanese encephalitis, or St. Louis encephalitis, but also filariasis and avian malaria.Culex - Wikipedia.
Nematode infections, mainly forms of filariasis may be borne by Culex species, as well as by other mosquitoes and bloodsucking flies.Culex - Wikipedia.

If sexual organs are lost in an amputation, night crawlers can regenerate them, but red wigglers canโt.https://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/special/metro/urban-jungle/pages/130604.html#:~:text=The%20red%20wiggler%2C%20or%20compost,canโt%20replace%20sexual%20organs.
The earthwormโs body is covered with chemoreceptors. These are cells that allow the earthworm to taste things and are tiny sense organs which detect chemicals in the soil.20-

Because it is widely known, L. terrestris goes under a variety of common names. In Britain, it is primarily called the common earthworm or lob worm (though the name is also applied to a marine polychaete). In North America, the term nightcrawler (or vitalis) is also used. Eisenia fetida (older spelling: foetida), known under various common names such as manure worm,[2] redworm, brandling worm, panfish worm, trout worm, tiger worm, red wiggler worm, etc., is a species of earthworm adapted to decaying organic material.https://www.journals.uchicago.edu/doi/pdfplus/10.2307/1538195
