Butterfly model system
I got the caterpillar on 23rd August
Plant Name: Cinnamon plant.
Location : Pazhuvil, Thrissur, Kerala.
Date:23/8/22.
Data collector : Seethalakshmi. C. R. SN college Nattika.
Set up: I used a plastick cover, and put the larvae in to the cover, for feeding i give cinnamon plant leaves.
Physical appearance : black body with cream patches, red dots.
And horns are present on the body.
5th day (28/8/22): it’s start to pupating. It’s start to produce some thread like structure.
6th day (29/8/22) : It completed it’s pupation.
Pupae is looks like dry stick.
Expectations : I think this the larvae of common mime butterfly.
Because the larvae of common mime and my larvae looks similar.
As well as host plant is same.
