After 7 days she found a butterfly emerged on 28 feb 2024.
The Caterpillars found on 3rd May 2024 turns into chrysalis today. Location Sapekhati HS School. Date 4th May2024
Four butterflies emerged from the pupae collected from pomegranate tree.
The butterfly
emerged has been identified as red spot zejebel ( Delias descombesi) as it has a red spot on the dorsal part of the wings. With the help of google search:innocent:.

Observation: Observed 3 pupa on Cleome plant on 9/08/2024.
Hypothesis: Pupa may be of Psyche Butterfly.
Pupa emerged as a Butterfly today (10/8/2024)at 9am.
Interpretations: The emerged butterfly is Psyche Butterfly because of the following reason:
The upper forewing has a black spot on a mainly white background.
Upperside: white; base of wings very slightly powdered with minute black scales. Hindwing is white.
Underside: white; costal margin and apex of forewing broadly, and the whole surface of the hindwing irrorated (speckled) with transverse, very slender, greenish strigae and minute dots.
larva also feeds on leaves of Cardamine & Cleome species.
Pupa: Sometimes green, but more often of a delicate pink shade

Pain tiger butterfly :
The body is black with many white spots. The wings are orange, the upperside brighter and richer than the underside. The apical half of the forewing is black with a white band. The hindwing has three black spots in the center. The wings are bordered in black and outlined with semicircular white spots as the hindwings, which the female lacks. They appear as a large black spot with a white centre if viewed from the underside
Differentiation of Males & Females :Male and female plain tigers look extremely similar, but males can easily be differentiated from females with the presence of an additional black-and-white spot on its hindwing.
