This is great! Just curious to know if any school students are also joining these online session?
Also, it will be useful if someone can write an introductory post on how anyone can join the webinar if interested. I suppose, it’s open for even people who are not been oriented to CUBE network as yet ?
Also, is the discussion thematic/ pre-planned? Or its more fluid depending on the participants who are joining? Is there any pre-requisite set of posts on STEMGames which one can be recommended to go through/read to make their participation meaningful?
Anyone and everyone are welcome to this online causerie that is taking place.
School students are not joining the webinar but we do have networks to some schools at Cochin
Dr. Vineeth Kumar from Cochin (RGCB) has 2 schools (4 students each as said by Vineeth Sir) in contact.
We hope that they will join us soon in our webinar.
There is another stem chat where we are giving updates of the webinar happening everyday.
We are giving summary of our discussions too, there.
Will get daily updates of our webinar, link to join the webinar as well as the summary of our discussions taking place during the webinar in the above link.

Great gathering today!!!
We wish to see all these collaborators and many more new comers too, tomorrow
Yes! we had a great discussion.
Manisha Rani from Cube Ranchi ,has done the floral dip transformation method (She has transformed Cardamine plant with kanamycin resistance gene using Agrobacterium tumefaciens plasmid.
After performing the floral dip method in Cardamine plant, After a week she has collected Seeds(Transformed seeds) from the dipped Cradamine plants. Now these transformed Cradamine seeds will have to be sow in Kanamycin rich(Plate A) medium along with the control/normal Cardamine seeds in medium (Plate B)without Kanamycin antibiotic in order to evaluate the achievement of transformation.
Conventionally,Transgenic plants are produced by complex methods like plant tissue culture technique under sterilized conditions, nutrient rich+plant growth media in fancy labs.
Floral-Dip transformation method involves the growth of Cardamine plant to flowering stage, application of Agrobacterium tumefaciens bacterial suspension(Sucrose and Surfactant) to
flower and floral bud, Covering of dipped Cardamine plant for first 24 hrs. to maintain the humidity, collection of seeds a week later and identification of transformed seeds by selection of media containing antibiotic.
This we had discussed that day that too in details.
