Number of Chatshaala sessions attended: 14/15
I moderated Chatshaala sessions from September 1st to September 15th, 2024, among other interns.
*𝗖𝗨𝗕𝗘 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻: On September 11th, we held a meeting with folks from Patna University (Bihar). On September 13th, we had a talk with Sonwane Vinodkumar sir from HBCSE, TIFR concerning seed germination and dormancy.
𝗖𝗨𝗕𝗘 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲𝘀: We held CUBE orientation programmes on September 3rd in Chempazhanthi and on September 5th in Varkkala.

𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝘁𝘀𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗮𝗹𝗮:

  1. CUBE SN Varkkala and CUBE Patna cubists are becoming increasingly active. Amritha from SN College Alathur, Sailekshmi from SN College Chempazhanthi, and Anjali from CUBE Varkkala They are more engaged in the Context to Curriculum WhatsApp group and the Chatshaala conversation.
    2). Seed Germination Experiment: Cubists from many regions of the country participated in this experiment.
    Sailekshmi is from Chempazhanthi, Anjali is from Varkala, Theertha is from Kozhikode, and Chitralekha is from Delhi.

    They used mustard and mung seed.
    We also have an analysis of the experiments.

3).Prithviraj Sir from CUBE Varkkala, Anusree and Sneha from CUBE Alathur, Sneha Maurya from Mumbai, and Sailekshmi from CUBE Varkkala They are focussing on the Butterfly Model system.

  1. Seasonomics: CUBE. Patna is becoming more engaged in the field of seasonalomics.
    They collected data on mango trees; however, blossoming has not yet begun in Patna.
    I (Seethalakshmi) collected data on mango trees, and flowering began in Karnataka.

  2. Develpoing CUBE Centres: Anjali (Varkkala) and Sailekshmi (Chempazhanthi) are doing curd-making in homelab and seed germination experiments.

6)Cardamine: We discussed the effect of low temperatures on seed germination, based on an experiment conducted by Theertha in Kozhikode.
Another topics discussed in the Chatshaala is the culture of fruitflies, butterflies (type of receptors in butterflies), slugs, hydras, and moinas, as well as the science behind the curd -making process.
