Dragon docks with ISS. Hatch opening shortly - Live
Saw this for the first time.
It was great!!
The digital touchscreen control interface for the crew, 3 screens with an additional bunch of soft buttons below, looked really simple in comparison to the switch-filled cockpit of a modern airliner.
However, it is clear that by doing so, it needs the crew to drill down to reach some commands or command interfaces. Obviously, the mission control is normally automated to a great extent, but surely the purpose of having a crew in the first place is to manage unforeseen circumstances, when a human might have to make decisions or select choices that cannot be programmed in advance.
The amount of manual work involved is stunning.
And GOOF UPS.
One audio connection started misbehaving. Apparently they had to swap connections.
One astronauts suit had lower than normal pressure.
