This is likely to be the larvae of a geometer moths. These are called inchworms or loopers and they lack appendages in the middle portion of their body, causing them to form this characteristic loop pattern for locomotion
It may also be a cabbage looper or a soybean looper. These caterpillars, despite being loopers, belong to family Noctuidae, a family commonly referred to as owlet moths.
