URGENT! Please do this project before the voter mark fades away!
Recently held general election (April-May, 2019 in India) gives an opportunity to collect a massive amount of data on the growth rate of the nail, through voter`s ink mark at the fingertip. The nail bed is known to be biologically highly active. Physiological changes according to age, gender, chronic illness, etc can affect nail growth.
In this Citizen Science online project, students/teachers of schools/colleges, as well as general citizens, will be collecting, analyzing & publishing this easily accessible data through collaborative ongoing engagement.
All that we have to do is:
- using a mobile camera take a photo of the voter`s ink-mark on the finger. (In case you have not voted, you can collect it from your friends, neighbors, relatives)
- before taking a photo, place the finger on a graph paper, as shown in the following picture;

You can also place your finger with ink mark along the ruler/scale on a plain paper and take a photo as shown in the pictures below;
For submitting the photo/data click the link below:

Each of us will be repeating this activity of data collection with the same person twice a month.
What do we gain?
Once you collect the nail data at least two times for each month, badges like Citizen Scientist, Data Collector, and a few other badges will be granted depending on STEM habits.
You can access your data from the links below in tabular and as a gallery.
