Pitfall traps can be made using a plastic cup and burying it neck deep into different locations i.e where one may find small insects.
Fill the cup with water mixed with soap\liquid detergent anything that will create bubbles, more than half.
The aim is to capture unsuspecting insects which will fall in the cup and the bubbles will break the surface tension so the insects drown rather than floating on the surface.
