Hi,
I am searching for a open source software for managing different resources at my profession.
The software/script should solve the problem of data collection, data handling, generating reports and few inventory tasks.

I have been using Microsoft Access for a very long time but it’s offline and online version seems to be expensive for my team.

Anyone who is working on the same theme can suggest the best possible software to resolve this challenge. Thanks

What is the data source?
How is data being collected now?

Thanks for sharing the web links. Actually, I’m searching data base resource management system. The data will be collected by manual entry or by bar code scanning.

For this particular use, I would suggest the use of Amazon Azure which will give you powerful data management tools with also the option of project management which will benefit you to utilize that skill with the addition of the data access and all other fun.

Other tool I would suggest is use of Hadoop and hive, but that will need a little backend knowledge of sql and multiple resources.
