CUBE Chatshaala on 19th August 2020.

Discussion on the experiment on our plant model Cardamine. The objective of the experiment is to find out the rate of germination as well as the time taken for two different seeds of the same plant species (one from a higher altitude and other from low altitude place) to germinate.

Ranchi and Mumbai CUBists making plans and some expectations with the model system cardamine.

Along with discussing the design of the experiment, we also looked upon the morphology of the Cardamine plant. The details such as the pattern of leaves, inflorescence, number of sepals and petals were seen through the diagram drawn manually.

The above photograph of a flower was presented to depict the type of inflorescence. Here in this flower, we have Cymose Inflorescence. Inflorescence is basically the arrangement of the flowers in a plant.

37 CUBists from 34 centres joined the webinar.

Your briefs on each chatShaala are rich with pictures and details. Thanks for the effort. Nice documentation of the discussions. It is nice if the students continue the discussion on chatShaala.in instead in private forums. Can you encourage the cubists to join here and continue the conversations?

Yes!
chatShaala.in has a very user-friendly (Telegram-like) interface!
Without much detail on the screen (like at metastudio.org), one will be able to access the discussion with ease and posting queries, answers too will be handy.

To be honest, most of our CUBists find metastudio.org/STEMGames a bit difficult to operate.

So for chatShaala.in, we can start giving introductory sessions to users joining the makerSpace ChatShaala as well as the CUBE ChatShaala, which will take them one step ahead in the process. Tutorials can be provided (for questions such as what is chatShaala.in? to questions like how do we post in chatShaala.in?) when required.

What do you say?

Sure @GN sir
As this platform is not much familiar to everyone, Iā€™m not sure about their response, but still we can ask the CUBists to continue the discussion here.

Let us slowly migrate the members to chatShaala.in, so that we can archive the conversations and make them searchable. Also, the mentors can grant badges too. Please invite them to chatShaala.in, and do inform them that they can use the same username and password.
