Initiative taken by @ishita in order to redesigning a set up in such a way that Zebra fish Culture can be maintained with minimum resources…

@ishita has planned breeding set up…

  1. Glass chamber filled with Dechlorinated water and a pair of zebra fish.

  2. Glass chamber filled with Dechlorinated water, pair of zebrafish and with a aquatic plant.

Two set up are planned one with the Aquatic plant and another one without the aquatic plant.

But the objective is to find out whether the aquatic plant enhance the breeding process

@⁨Lydia cUBe Drosphila⁩ @ishita @tejasree @drishtant please add .

After breeding is done @ishita is expecting that she will get 50 eggs from single female fish and out of 50 eggs 20 will be fertilized.
But why the rate of fertilization is very less?..

Do we have references for this?..
Can we do something in order to enhance the rate of fertilization?..

An amazing work is been done by @⁨Batul Pipewala Kolkata⁩ Ma’am.

Batul Ma’am has successfully isolate the soil Nematodes in her cube home lab…

We had discussed the method which was used by Cubists in cube lab in order to isolate soil Nematodes and the method that has been used by batul Ma’am.

The major object is to find out the C. elegance on Indian Native soil.

How do we go about doing this in CUBE HOME LAB.

@⁨Batul Pipewala Kolkata⁩ has already tried taking good pictures of nematodes found on raw potato set up.
But how do we sure that these are the soil Nematodes not the Larvae?..

How do we distinguished Larva of Phylum Arthropoda and adult Nematodes?..

CUBE chatShaala… can we compare zebra fish and Guppy fish, as cubists have started culturing Guppy fish… What would be the set up to maintain them?.. References given during the discussion (PDF) Shoaling in juvenile guppies: The effects of body size and shoal size | Scott McRobert - Academia.edu biology, any group of fish that stay together for social reasons are shoaling, and if the group is swimming in the same direction in a coordinated manner, they are schooling. In common usage, the terms are sometimes used rather loosely.
