Whiteboard screenshots of today’s(07th Dec 2020) CUBE chatshaala discussion…

We had a great discussion today that has lead us to an understanding that how collaboration can help us as…
Cubists in Mumbai have been maintaining Moina macrocopa jsk 1, the Moina which is already identified and also being maintained in CUBE HOME LABs
On other hand Cubists in kerala and Ranchi have found water fleas from natural surroundings…

By clicking good photos can we compare and try to identify them @⁨Saida Cube Rotifers⁩ @⁨Drishtant Cube Moina⁩ @⁨Arunima SN Nattika Cardamine⁩ @⁨Rechel Turkey Cube Ranchi Moina⁩ and others…

A Great initiative has been taken by the Cubists from Cube Kochi(kerala)…

Ovitraps were set up in order to find out the suitable breeding places of Aedes mosquitoes…

All the things that were used in this set up was very well planned.
Like

  1. Black color plastic pots
  2. Fresh water
  3. Use of cloth
  4. Use of Net
  5. Use of Ruler
Can we get some authentic reference for above points as the reason for using fresh water was that Aedes Mosquitoes only lay their eggs in fresh water and not in dirty water…

Objectives was
Identification of breeding behaviour and places of Aedes mosquitoes…

Many questions were being asked

  1. What were the expectations??.
  2. How do we identify Aedes mosquitoes eggs?..
  3. What are the expectations on life cycle of Aedes mosquitoes?..
  4. What are the precautions we should take care of while handling such kind of work??.and many more…

Annual cycle with all the seasons and summer , winter solstice was made in order to discuss what’s the most likely season for Aedes and Non- aedes mosquitoes for laying eggs?..

What we could conclude from this diagram?..
