Discussion got started with the concept of Mango-Mapping.

Why we are doing Mango-Mapping??.. @⁨Jeene Jimmy⁩ joined from Silvassa, @⁨Jeene Jimmy⁩ has done survey of Mango trees in the locality of Silvassa but before presenting Jeene’s data on Mango trees there was a question being asked that can we make a prediction of would there be flowering in Silvassa because in Mumbai which is at 19’N latitude , Mango trees has started flowering as we have got the data that’s 40% flowering is observed in Nerul and (9/14)64% flowering is seen in South Mumbai. So can we make prediction would there be flowering in Silvassa which is at 20’N latitude.

We got some inputs that there could be and couldn’t be flowering before Jeene’s Data came…

3/5 trees were found to be flowering in Silvassa as per Jeene’s data on Mango-Mapping.
Than @⁨Dr KomalSingh Urf Krishna⁩ had joined the session and komal sir and @⁨Susanta Tanti Cube Assam Phyllanthus/Cardamine⁩ made prediction that there’s no flowering in Assam which is at 27’N.

Suma had also joined from Guntur which is at 16’N near to Goa so cubists had made prediction that there would flowering in Guntur before seeing Data from Guntur.

That’s without looking at Guntur data we predicted that there would be flowering on the basis of latitude.

What % of flowering we can call as a real flowering is started?.

Suma said there’s one tree in guntur which flowers throughout the year and these are odd trees.

Preposition made that what would be the % flowering in may & june???.

Nice prediction were made on the basis of certain theory…

Susanta sir had asked the question can we make mathematical model to predict what’s the connection between flowering and latitude???..

Gautam had also joined and we had discussion on the geography of chembur which is at centre part of Mumbai.

Fruit fly one of the cube model in CUBE HOME LABs. A nice story was shared by @⁨Aswathy Cube Butterfly⁩ yesterday about her model system in CUBE HOME LAB.

Can we identify a fruit fly by just looking them from the bottel??. Can we say that it’s an insect (belongs to class insecta), an arthropod (Phylum Arthropoda) or dipteran (order diptera). Or what more?.. @⁨Aswathy Cube Butterfly⁩ and others please add…
