We had some kalapna fellows in the session yesterday, where some of them were very interested in studying alzeimer’s disease and also interested in using fruit fly as a model system to understand alzeimer’s. In alzeimer’s disease there is accumulation of amyloid plagues that causes because of the misfolding of amyloid protein. With the context of alzeimer’s we had a very interesting discussion on misfolding of proteins. There was an input from Dr. Arunan on sickel cell anaemia. we also had the discussion on seasonomics, that how to analyse the mango mapping data that we have collected successfully.
