4)Hunt for Cardamine at Campus

We went in Cardamine hunt and ⁩ found the cardamine plants in campus.

Cardamine. From APU campus

Seed germination studies:
We(participants )try to compare mustard germination and cardamine germination because they are from the same family . Brassicaceae

We(participants )saw the difference in the colour of cardamine seeds, green and yellow. Now we are separating them and trying to find out whether this different colour is playing any role in its germination.

We also want to see what happens when we try to germinate mustard seeds and cardamine seed in water.

Detective work - figuring out the date of collection of flies
We had a home culture of flies without the label of date of collection. This culture is a multi species culture, we say this due to visible size difference between larvae, pupa and adult of individuals.
The number of individuals in the date of collection were 7. At present there are 20 individuals. The life cycle of a fly is 2 month. But the reproductive cycle is of 10days.We are guessing the minimum age of this culture will be around atleast 10 days. As we have more number of individuals than the beginning, indicating completion of atleast one reproductive cycle.

I have collected Algae and Hydrilla from the Department of botany, St. Xavier’s College Ranchi Jharkhand.

Hydrilla and algae both are submerged in the tap water. As it is kept in the tap water. I think it will survive in the bottles I have collected still if you have any suggestions please suggest. @⁨Arunan sir :dizzy:⁩ @⁨Kiran CUBE⁩ @⁨~Hina Iqbal Mudgal⁩ @⁨Jai⁩ @⁨~Mayur Bhimrao Gaikwad.⁩ @⁨Sakshi⁩ @⁨Akanksha CUBE⁩ and others

I’m bringing these cardamine plants in two pots .

Vapours were created inside bottle. So, i Made hole in the bottles so that air can pass through it. Pots are also packed loosely.
