Common cold caused by virus is common in winters as these viruses can grow better at lower temperatures.
Can frequency of Sneeze & cough witnessed by us in a day will tell us whether there is likelihood of epidemic in the area?!!
Let’s find out how monsoon treated Jaipur coordinates: ~2776, this season?
Interesting! How, Gulmohar trees behave in NMS campus Jaipur ~2776!
Are we going to take steps in correcting Wikipedia entry? @vedikaa
Today we will be researching on fruit flies and their behaviour.
Yes!!!
This actually has happened in china.

We also learnt about the round worms which are also known as nematodes. They constitute the phylum Nematoda (also called Nemathelminthes). They are a diverse animal phylum inhabiting a broad range of environments. The bacteria was put in the middle of a pétri dish which was attracting the roundworm. It resembled a scene where a plate of delicious cupcakes:cupcake:is placed in a table and it is attracting children. Roundworms are extremely common intestinal parasites that can cause severe infections. It is estimated that there are about 50,000 species in the world. But out of these only about 15,000 species of roundworms have been identified and named as yet
.
Here’s what we learned on “how to observe microscopic roundworms”
Roundworms don’t come out of the soil without looking at how it will benefit them.
So, to solve that problem we put soil around the inner corners of a petri dish with an agar base and in between we put what they call “food” and we call “bait”.
Then, after a while they crawl out of their cozy homes and on observing under the microscope they can be spotted in the middle of the petri dish.
The temperature was higher than usual with it being 31 degree Celsius. Regardless of the partly clouded sky outside, the chances of precipitation are quite low at a rate of only 41%. It was difficult to stand outside due to the beaming rays of the sun and the humidity of about 63%. Despite the sunny weather, our eyes could not stop admiring the beautiful scenery outside. Even if the only noises that were heard were of the honking of cars.

Everything on the internet is not a credible or reliable source. Finding a reliable source for the daily weather forecast and other information is important. Yesterday, we made an observation that the Gulmohar tree’s flowering season extends to July but according to Wikipedia, it only lasted till June.

STEM WORKSHOP DAY 1 GRP 5
1.The first discussion was about weather and humidity , the question that was raised is ‘why are we feeling hot’ when the sweat was there on our bodies because of the humidity present in the environment .We also found out that whatever source and information which we are going through is not a reliable site .for example: Wikepedia is a site which can be edited. But one beauty of it is authentication is required.
2. We went for a study of plants and animals around our campus where we see earthworm castings which were in the form of globules on the soil. We also studied Gulmohar tree which has red flowers on it , during the research we found out that there is a difference of reddish color due to monsoon .moreover we discussed about sal and teakwood ,by discussing about their scientific names .
3. we too studied about our SLLEPY PLANTS weather they sleep or not , anytime but our research is still is incomplete . this is our today’s task to do.
4. after a hectic schedule we discussed our discussion of different phyla and their characteristics , which energized us and we focused on our next experiment which is study of agar (algae)and seeing nematodes through microscope ,some pictures are also clickedby some of the of our group.
It was our great experience enjoying everything and moreover it was a fun loving experience. a fun loving experience.
I
They were earthworm castings in the floor which appeared to be globules on the floor. We often come across these but often confuse them with ants etc. But they really are earthworms casts.
