What inferences can one draw from this data?

This Mango data is from January 1st to January 24th, 2024.

Discussions began with the notion that North Indian Ripened Mangoes are available in the market from June onwards, while in South India, it is from February to March.

Hypothesis: Flowering first occurs in lower latitude areas than in higher latitude ones. Observations from the data:

Yellow color indicates flowering, grey denotes non-flowering, and green represents fruiting.

  1. Yellow color is prominent in lower latitudes of India. Flowering trees are more prominent in lower latitudes such as Kerala, Telangana, and Mumbai than in higher latitudes such as Uttar Pradesh and Assam.

  2. Non-flowering is prominent in higher latitudes such as Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

  3. Fruiting is observed in Kerala, in districts like Thiruvananthapuram and Palakkad & also in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Flowering followed by fruiting first happening in lower latitude than higher latitudes.
Can we say like this !?

Based on the data, mango flowering appears to be delayed in regions with higher altitudes, indicating that latitude influences weather conditions crucial for mango trees to flower. This phenomenon occurs at varying times based on location. For instance, in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala (latitude 8.5°N), the first flowering is observed in October, whereas in Delhi (latitude 28.7°N), it typically occurs in the last week of February or the first week of March, as per 2023 data. This suggests that optimal flowering conditions for mango trees are available in October in Kerala, whereas similar conditions occur in late February or early March in Delhi.
