Are there only bdelloid rotifers? How can you confirm that the rotifer which u are having are bdelloid and not other ? Also what after identification? What is long term objective ?

Which kind of experiments can we perform by using rotifers ?

We have lost all our cultures in train 
while getting it to HBCSE so we made 2 new mixed culture and because there is some or the other holiday coming up so we have decided to make single line culture in Diwali workshop

Immediate objective : to make single line culture through serial dilution
short term objective: to do identification of Rotifers (species and genera )
Long term objective to prove horizontal gene transfer in bdelloid rotifers
Due to too many holidays in between we couldn’t keep track of weather we have isolated a single Rotifer or not
So we have decided to carry out a short term objective in Diwali vacations at cube
At present we have two mix cultures m1 and m2
